Fall Things to Do Near Killington

Fall brings peak foliage to the Green Mountains, with hiking trails and scenic drives within a short distance of Trail Creek 74.

Scenic Drives

  • Route 100: The 216-mile route takes you through rolling hills, charming villages and incredible fall foliage, with landmarks, trails, lakes, vistas and small towns along the way.
  • Route 4 East: Head towards Woodstock and the Ottauquechee River. You’ll pass farm stands, orchards, covered bridges, ravines and stunning viewpoints.
  • Thundering Brook Road: A turnoff between Pico and Killington leads to this gravel road, which passes beneath a tree tunnel, through mountain views and by a local fishing spot.
  • River Fork Road: A short drive off Thundering Brook Road, it circles back to Route 100 and runs parallel to the Ottauquechee River.
